Sergio Baietta is a superbly versatile pianist and conductor awarded in more than 70 national and international competitions.
In November, 2017, he performed Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 to a sold out Tokyo audience at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, performing a special celebration concert commemorating the 45th anniversary of Japan/China diplomacy. The concert was with Japan’s oldest and largest symphony orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic, followed by a very successful five- engagement tour of Japan in Kyoto, Kokura, and Miyako.
Baietta has led the Orchestra Machiavelli of Verona since 2015, which in October 2017 collaborated with the world famous clarinetist, Richard Stoltzman, and marimbist Mika Stolzman, performing Copland's clarinet concerto and premiering Chick Corea's piano concerto No.1 in Italy with great success.
Born in Verona, Italy, and graduated under Maestro Vittorio Bresciani, he regularly performs at major concert venues in Verona, Venice, Florence,Rovereto, Viareggio, Vicenza, Turin,Teramo,Mantova,Brescia, Gorizia, and Rome; and abroad with numerous prestigious orchestras and concert halls in Germany, Spain,Portugal,France,Switzerland, Russia, Finland, and Hawaii. He debuted in Germany with notable acclaim, performing a series of concerts featuring Liszt in Furstensaal, the Liszt Museum, the Palais-Saal of Weimar, and Leipzig.
He regularly accompanies great singers such as Alida Ferrarini, Stefania Bonfadelli, Omar Kamata, J.Calleja, Tatyana Lisnic and numerous others.
Recently, his performance using two pianos for one of the most difficult repertoires of Chopin was introduced on “Classic FM” radio station, and his unusual talent gathered larger attention.
Thanks to the many experiences in the world of cabaret and musical comedy, he proposes original solo shows of great impact and variety, including parodies, acrobatic covers, jazz versions of great classics and passionate musical arrangements of various types and inspiration from Baroque to Pop music.
